The board is now looking at bids for changing our insurance company after number of complaints regarding State Farm. We are currently awaiting quotes from several insurance companies so we can compare premiums and coverage. We are currently still insured with State Farm, and there are has been no lapse in coverage. Any change in company will be coordinated to prevent any lapse in the future.
The board is beginning the process of updating and modernizing our by-laws to, among some other changes, remove obsolete references to the builder and to comply with the latest revisions of Michigan condo law. A brief document summarizing the changes we are looking to make is available for everyone to view HERE. We welcome feedback from everyone, and we will consider all responses. At the bottom of the summary are two links. The first is a link to the full text of the by-laws draft with these proposed changes. The second is a Google Form for providing feedback.

The board has started the process for repaving the central parking lot and also fixing the decaying concrete curbs around the same. We are using an engineering firm to coordinate this work, and to ensure that it is done properly to avoid issues such as the re-occurring pot hole. The bids have gone out and the board has approved them to start work. We are coordinating with the engineering firm to begin work.
Notices will be posted around the community before work begins, as driving and parking in the work zones will be displaced while the asphalt and concrete is setting.
The next board meeting will be on July 24 at 6:00pm over Zoom.
