The board has received reports that several shrubs on the grounds are dead. The Yard Pro, Inc. has been hired to investigate, and where necessary, remove the dead shrubs and put down new top soil and seed.
As reported last month, the board has approved a plan to update the light poles around the guest parking area with LED fixtures. The replacement fixtures are expected to be installed by the end of this month.
Options for additional entrance lighting are still being considered. More information about this project will be posted as soon as it is available.
The board has approved a plan for Asphalt Specialists, Inc. to seal-coat and re-stripe the driveway and guest parking area this month. This will be a two-day project, where each side of the entrance and parking area will be completed on consecutive days. In addition, the handicapped parking spaces will be rearranged so that each corner of the parking area will have a space available, increasing the total number of handicapped parking spaces to four.
While this project in occurring, some guest parking may be unavailable, so co-owners should plan accordingly. We will post the dates for when the project will take place as soon as they are available.
While staff from Select Community Management walked the community to verify that all concrete work had been completed, two problem areas were discovered that require immediate attention. One slab of sidewalk concrete will be replaced this month. In addition, concrete will be added to an area where a municipal pipe was discovered to be protruding above the ground. The hope is that these two repairs will fully complete the concrete replacement project for the year, and ensure our community will be free from tripping hazards.
If you do see any areas of concrete that still require immediate attention, please contact Select to report them.
