Here are some project updates since the annual meeting:
The board is currently working with the community lawyers to review and update the association By-laws. The goal is to revise certain sections to bring the document up-to-date, such as removing language about the original community developer. No changes to the actual By-laws are being made. Once the final draft of the document has been approved by the board, we will announce the process for approval by Forest Creek community membership.
Co-owners may contact the board with questions about the revision process.
The board will be meeting with a consultant regarding options for updating and improving the landscaping throughout the community, such as the inclusion of rain gardens with native plants and vegetation. At the same time, we are investigating ways to optimize the usage of the irrigation sprinklers in order to reduce overall water costs. Depending on weather forecasts, this includes the option of shutting off the sprinklers altogether during the Summer.
Brick repairs are continuing this month. Special attention is being given to certain areas where interior leaks have been found. We are working with the contractor to prioritize the areas most in need, and are maintaining a list of scheduled repairs that will be completed throughout the Summer.
The community walk-thru has been scheduled for Sunday, May 15 at 9:00 a.m. Members of the board and Select Community Management will be walking through the community grounds (starting at the mailboxes) to document areas we find in need of repair. Any co-owner who wishes to join us is welcome to come along. We will be taking notes and pictures of the areas that require immediate attention, and your input is appreciated.
If you cannot join us and have a problem to report, we encourage you to email us with a description and include pictures if possible.
Thanks for visiting!
