As you have likely noticed, the concrete work was started. We apologize for the confusion regarding driving through the area during this work. There was some miscommunication that resulted in a difference between what the engineer thought and what we thought regarding the extent of driving disruption that would be caused. This has been addressed, and we do not expect similar issues as we move forward onto the asphalt stage.
The concrete pouring is complete, and the concrete is now curing.
Do not drive over the curing concrete until the barricades are removed.
The final driveway barricades are expected (subject to weather slowing the curing) to be removed by Saturday, August 31. Once barricades are removed, only light passenger vehicles should drive over the concrete. Heavy vehicles (large trucks, moving vans, etc.) should not drive over the concrete until Monday, September 23.
This schedule is preliminary, and rain can cause delays between steps that may be as long as one week in length. During any such delay, the “no parking” will still be enforced, but driving through will be allowed.
NO PARKING in the asphalt parking lot will be allowed starting at 6 am on September 9.
You will still be able to park in your garage and your spot behind it as well as driving through the area until September 12 at 9pm, when the road will then be closed. Driving through means you may drive across or through the construction area but you may not park or stand. The transition from the gravel to the remaining pavement and from the curb to gravel will be abrupt & sharp – please go slowly over transitions.
Notices will be posted 72-hours prior to the start of work on all parked cars and all garage doors reminding of the closure of the parking lot. Notices will also be posted on garage doors again 72-hours prior to the closure of the road entirely.
You are required to find alternative parking for the forecasted construction. Inform your personal service workers & guests. If you plan to be out-of-town during this time, we strongly recommend you remove your vehicle to an off-site location prior to the start of work. During the NO DRIVING ALLOWED segments, there will be NO EXCEPTIONS. Legal curbside parking is available 24 hours on Baylis, Dwight & Pebble Creek. Clinton Park is day parking only. The park is closed from Midnight to 6 am.
September 9 - 10: Start pulverizing and removing existing asphalt
The asphalt parking lot is CLOSED starting now.
Driving is possible during this time, but work crews will temporarily block areas that are currently being worked on. We ask for your patience if you are temporarily blocked.

The board is beginning the process of updating and modernizing our by-laws to, among some other changes, remove obsolete references to the builder and to comply with the latest revisions of Michigan condo law. A brief document summarizing the changes we are looking to make is available for everyone to view HERE. We welcome feedback from everyone, and we will consider all responses. At the bottom of the summary are two links. The first is a link to the full text of the by-laws draft with these proposed changes. The second is a Google Form for providing feedback.

The next board meeting will be on September 26 at 6:00pm over Zoom.
